The fact they didn’t do more with this movie was criminal. I give this movie 3 Icees. Does it mean it’s a bad movie when it only gets 3 out of 5 Icees? Not at all. This is a decent movie. It’s just not a “great” one. This movie has an interesting concept, and for those of you that have been following me for a while, you know I’m a sucker for interesting concepts. The concept behind this movie is that one man’s memory can be transferred to another. If you can buy in to that concept, I think you’ll enjoy this movie. It has some action but I would not classify it as an “action movie”. I thought Kevin Costner did a solid job of portraying the lead. Gary Oldham also did his usual good job as the CIA guy. To me, where this movie went wrong is that there just wasn’t “enough”. There wasn’t enough action, enough drama, enough intrigue… just not enough. I think this movie is worth seeing, but if you’re only going to see one movie this year, this would obviously not be the one. However, if you’re going to see a movie this weekend, this is a decent one to do. And, once it is at Redbox or Vudu, it’s worth a rental. No scene after the credits.
